Woodpecker SuperPen
The Woodpecker SuperPen is a state-of-the-art, computer-controlled anesthesia delivery system (CCLAD) that replaces the traditional dental syringe. Designed to minimize discomfort and reduce injection anxiety, it delivers a more controlled, precise, and virtually painless anesthesia experience for patients of all ages.
At the core of the SuperPen is an AI algorithm combined with a brushless motor and a high-precision dual-pressure detection sensor. This combination allows the device to automatically identify tissue density and maintain optimal delivery pressure throughout the injection, producing a smooth, consistent flow of anesthetic that dramatically reduces the sharp sensations often associated with traditional injections.
The SuperPen offers three adjustable injection speeds, including a dedicated PDL (periodontal ligament) mode for targeted single-tooth anesthesia. Its patented pressure detection technology is three times more accurate than conventional systems at reading tissue resistance, ensuring the anesthetic reaches exactly where it needs to go. Injection precision is measured to 0.02 ml, and the onboard LCD display gives the clinician real-time feedback on injection percentage, speed mode, plunger status, and battery level.
Beyond clinical precision, the SuperPen is designed with the patient experience in mind. Its slim, pen-style handpiece weighs only 3 oz, the same as a standard manual syringe, making it familiar to handle while being far less visually intimidating. The brushless motor operates at significantly lower noise levels than competing devices, and the device includes soothing audio prompts to help keep anxious patients at ease during the procedure.
The SuperPen is cordless and rechargeable via a compact wireless charging base, with a built-in 2000 mAh battery that keeps it ready for a full day of clinical use. Compatible with all standard 1.8 cc anesthetic cartridges and US dental needles, it integrates seamlessly into existing practice workflows. The autoclavable cartridge holder and one-button operation further reduce chair time and simplify the experience for both patient and clinician.
