Our Team
Dr. Sarah Hyams, D.M.D.
Dr. Sarah Hyams has been the Clinique Dentaire Lacolle owner since 2019.
In 2004, Dr. Sarah Hyams obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Faculty of Dentistry at the Université de Montréal, a profession she loves and is passionate about. Prior to these studies, she obtained a B.Sc. in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University, where she developed her knowledge of infectious diseases. She also completed a Master’s degree in Dental Sciences (M.Sc.) at McGill University, where she had the privilege of conducting research on the trigeminal nerve under the supervision of Dr. Jim Lund, former Dean of McGill’s Faculty of Dentistry.

After graduating from dental school, she completed a multidisciplinary residency certificate in dentistry in the United States. During this post-graduate program, she received more in-depth training in various aspects of dental care for immunocompromised patients and marginalized populations, further enhancing her medical knowledge. Besides passing the National Dental Examining Board of Canada examination, Dr. Hyams successfully completed the American Dental Association’s National Board Examinations, Part I and Part II, and the North East Regional Dental Board (N.E.R.B.) exam.
In 2025, Dr. Hyams was acknowledged as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, highlighting her dedication to continuous education and her pursuit of offering the most up-to-date dental care to her patients.
In 2025, Dr. Hyams was elected by her A.G.D. dentist colleagues in Canada as “Dentist of the Year” in recognition of her contributions to the dental profession when she held.different leadership positions with the A.G.D.
An avid lifelong learner, she enjoys attending professional training courses at conferences in Canada and the United States. This allows her to explore different techniques and perspectives on the practice of dentistry. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry (A.G.D.), the American Dental Association (A.D.A.), the Association des chirurgiens-dentistes du Québec (A.C.D.Q.) and the Ordre des dentistes du Québec (O.D.Q.).
Dr. Hyams was elected by her colleagues to serve as the A.G.D. Regional Director for Eastern Canada from 2018 to 2022. The Academy of General Dentistry is one of the largest non-profit dental organizations in North America. As Regional Director, she was instrumental in attracting more members and recruiting speakers to deliver quality continuing education courses to her colleagues in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
Dr. Hyams receives a great deal of gratification from treating patients of all ages and overseeing all aspects of their dental care. She looks forward to the new challenges each patient brings, as each has their own unique story. She believes in providing comprehensive care, in a comfortable environment, tailored to fit the lives and budgets of her patients.
Dr. Benoit Charette, D.M.D.
Dr. Benoit Charette completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) at the Université de Montréal in 2005. He then spent eight years as a dentist in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Calm and attentive, the comfort and well-being of his patients during his procedures are his priority. Since July 2013, he has been practicing his profession in several clinics on the South Shore, and since 2015, he has been working at La Clinique Dentaire Lacolle. He offers complex extractions, including impacted wisdom teeth and periodontal surgery treatments.
His talent, skills and friendliness make him a dentist much appreciated by his patients.
Dr. Patrick Dorion, D.M.D.
Dr. Patrick Dorion commenced his journey in the Canadian Armed Forces Dental Officer Training Program in 2001 and earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Université de Montréal in 2005. Following his graduation, he began his dental career with the Canadian Armed Forces in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he served for four years. Subsequently, he practiced at the St-Jean-sur-le-Richelieu military base for an additional three years. Dr. Dorion regards his military service as one of the most rewarding experiences of his life and a cornerstone of his current practice.
In 2011, he transitioned from military service to focus exclusively on dental surgery, providing surgical services to various dental clinics in the Montreal region. With a strong passion for implantology, he possesses the necessary training and expertise to perform dental surgeries. He completed his education at the Canadian Implant Institute in 2011. Dr. Dorion dedicates significant time to refining his surgical techniques to ensure optimal patient care. He is supported on his journeys by a skilled and energetic team.

Jessica
Jessica has worked at the Clinique Dentaire Lacolle since obtaining her dental hygienist certificate in 2016. Considerate and meticulous, she takes great care to be gentle. Her aim is to give her patients a pleasant experience, so that they leave satisfied.
Leticia
Leticia graduated from the dental hygiene program at Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe in 2022 and has a comprehensive background in the dental field. Since 2014, she has held various positions in dental clinics, which have helped her hone her skills and guarantee exemplary patient care. Her strong dedication to oral health, combined with her empathetic nature and proficiency in addressing patient concerns, greatly contributes to her professional effectiveness.

This is a new start in the dental field, as I was previously a medical secretary (over 30 years’ experience). It’s with great pleasure that I welcome patients to our friendly dental office. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Joakim Paquin has held the position of dental secretary at the Lacolle Dental Clinic since June 2025. From the moment she arrived, she stood out for her motivation, professionalism, and constant desire to prove herself. Determined to give her best, she quickly earned the trust of her team with her diligence, attentiveness, and respectful attitude.
Joakim holds a dental secretary diploma from Formation Pro Santé and has prior experience as a dental assistant. She worked for three years in a senior residence, where she cultivated strong adaptability, empathy, and a profound commitment to customer service, especially for vulnerable individuals.
Always smiling, courteous, and eager to assist, she has a comprehensive understanding of the clinical environment’s realities.

I completed my studies in 2020, earning my qualification as a dental assistant from the Chateauguay Professional Training School. Since that time, I have enjoyed a successful career trajectory, which has enabled me to accumulate extensive experience throughout the years. I am known for my meticulous nature and attentiveness, always ready to comfort my patients when necessary. The comfort of my patients is of utmost importance to me.
Émilie
Having graduated in 2004 with a diploma in dental assistance, Émilie has always been passionate about the human side of her profession. From the very start, she combined technical expertise with empathy to offer patients quality care.
Curious and eager to broaden her horizons, Émilie undertook several management training courses, enabling her to discover and master various aspects of the dental environment, particularly as a manager. This experience granted her a global perspective and an in-depth understanding of the field.
It was in dental surgery, however, that Émilie found her true calling. Despite her responsibilities as a manager, she regularly returns to chairside assistance, driven by her desire to accompany patients and provide them with support and comfort during potentially stressful times.
Throughout her career, Émilie has embodied a versatile and passionate professionalism, always guided by her love of human contact and her commitment to excellence in the dental field.
