The Clinique Dentaire Lacolle’s mission is above all to enable each and every one of its patients to improve their overall health, develop self-esteem through the aesthetics of their smile, and enjoy a relaxing experience with highly qualified dental professionals in complete confidence.
Our Team
Dr. Sarah Hyams, D.M.D.
Dr. Sarah Hyams has been the Clinique Dentaire Lacolle owner since 2019.
In 2004, Dr. Sarah Hyams obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Faculty of Dentistry at the Université de Montréal, a profession she loves and is passionate about. Prior to these studies, she obtained a B.Sc. in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University, where she developed her knowledge of infectious diseases. She also completed a Master’s degree in Dental Sciences (M.Sc.) at McGill University, where she had the privilege of conducting research on the trigeminal nerve under the supervision of Dr. Jim Lund, former Dean of McGill’s Faculty of Dentistry.

After graduating from dental school, she completed a multidisciplinary residency certificate in dentistry in the United States. During this post-graduate program, she received more in-depth training in various aspects of dental care for immunocompromised patients and marginalized populations, further enhancing her medical knowledge. Besides passing the National Dental Examining Board of Canada examination, Dr. Hyams successfully completed the American Dental Association’s National Board Examinations, Part I and Part II, and the North East Regional Dental Board (N.E.R.B.) exam.
An avid lifelong learner, she enjoys attending professional training courses at conferences in Canada and the United States. This allows her to explore different techniques and perspectives on the practice of dentistry. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry (A.G.D.), the American Dental Association (A.D.A.), the Association des chirurgiens-dentistes du Québec (A.C.D.Q.) and the Ordre des dentistes du Québec (O.D.Q.).
Dr. Hyams was elected by her colleagues to serve as the A.G.D. Regional Director for Eastern Canada from 2018 to 2022. The Academy of General Dentistry is one of the largest non-profit dental organizations in North America. As Regional Director, she was instrumental in attracting more members and recruiting speakers to deliver quality continuing education courses to her colleagues in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
Dr. Hyams receives a great deal of gratification from treating patients of all ages and overseeing all aspects of their dental care. She looks forward to the new challenges each patient brings, as each has their own unique story. She believes in providing comprehensive care, in a comfortable environment, tailored to fit the lives and budgets of her patients.
Dr. Benoit Charette, D.M.D.
Dr. Benoit Charette completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) at the Université de Montréal in 2005. He then spent eight years as a dentist in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Calm and attentive, the comfort and well-being of his patients during his procedures are his priority. Since July 2013, he has been practicing his profession in several clinics on the South Shore, and since 2015, he has been working at La Clinique Dentaire Lacolle. He offers complex extractions, including impacted wisdom teeth and periodontal surgery treatments.
His talent, skills and friendliness make him a dentist much appreciated by his patients.
Dr. Pierre-Olivier Bégin, D.M.D.
Dr. Pierre-Olivier Bégin has given his patients quality dental care since obtaining his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Université de Montréal in 2005. He has been a member of the team since 2021.
As a general dentist who mostly provides services in implantology and oral surgery, he is appreciated for his attentiveness and empathy. He frequently takes continuing education courses to keep up with the latest advancements in the field of dentistry.
In addition to his work in private practice, his adventurous spirit led him to provide his services in the northern regions of Québec and Canada. He has travelled extensively, to Asia, Africa, Europe and South America, to practice his passions, which include skiing, mountaineering, scuba diving and kite surfing.
He has three young children and was born in Laval.
Alejandro Canaveral
Alejandro Canaveral received his certificate of denturology from Collège Edouard-Montpetit in 2009. He furthered his knowledge of dental implant prosthetics with courses on advanced denturology practices and on anti-snoring prostheses.
His skills and expertise in high-precision dental implant and prosthetic rehabilitation make him stand out not only for the functional results his patients receive, but also for his attention to aesthetics.
He is known for his dedication to service and for listening closely to his patients, which makes them feel heard and in good hands from their very first visit. His commitment to strictly following the rules and the ethical and moral principles of his profession translate into a consistent ethical practice.
Alejandro Canaveral has been a member of the team since 2021.
Jessica
Jessica has worked at the Clinique Dentaire Lacolle since obtaining her dental hygienist certificate in 2016. Considerate and meticulous, she takes great care to be gentle. Her aim is to give her patients a pleasant experience, so that they leave satisfied.
Myriam
In December 2020, Myriam completed her training at the Technique d’hygiène dentaire du Cégep d’Édouard-Montpetit. Myriam is distinguishable for her exceptional listening abilities, attention to detail, and her ability to tailor her care to each patient.
Pricilla
My career as a dental hygienist began in 2021. I graduated from Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe with a diploma in dental hygiene. It brings me great pride to be able to practice this profession, which is close to my heart, and to share my expertise with the public. My position as a dental professional allows me to acquire new skills and knowledge to provide you with quality care while also ensuring a pleasant experience.
Jessica
In 2021, Jessica completed her dental hygiene degree at Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe. She is a caring hygienist who prioritizes your comfort. Her passion for health and love for educating patients about oral health led her to choose this field.
Vanessa
Vanessa received her dental secretary certificate in 2012 and has been working in the field since 2013. She has been a member of the wonderful Clinique Dentaire Lacolle team since 2017.
She makes every effort to ensure that all of the clinic’s patients receive the best service possible, from the moment they arrive until they leave.
You may see Vanessa behind the reception desk but also in the dental treatment room, assisting the dentist. She is very versatile!
Over the years, Vanessa has taken several initiatives that led her to assist Dr. Hyams with a number of administrative tasks.

I joined the Clinique Dentaire Lacolle team in 2015, bringing over 20 years of experience in the field. I take pleasure in welcoming patients and answering any questions you may have. I look forward to seeing you!

I joined the Clinique Dentaire Lacolle team in April 2021.
This is a new start in the dental field, as I was previously a medical secretary (over 30 years’ experience). It’s with great pleasure that I welcome patients to our friendly dental office. I look forward to seeing you soon!
